That you don't need a fancy camera to make lengthy videos? Most regular digital cameras can record for a lot longer than you think... Bring your camera to any electronics or office supply store like Best Buy or Staples. Ask an employee for help in "upgrading the memory" in your camera. Upgrading to a 2GB memory card ($20-$40) will give you about 30 minutes of recording time.


That a simple tripod can make all the difference in the world for the look of your videos. You can find small tripods for your digital cameras for about $2 all over the net. Here is an example of one. Tripods

These tripods screw onto the bottom of most digital cameras - you can then position your camera anywhere in your kitchen. Some people even tape down the tripod right over the stove top so the camera faces straight down on the food. Having this $2 tripod will really help you in setting your filming angles.

A great free and easy to use video editing tool. This software will let you cut, add music, add titles and create many other effects to your videos. This software is a great way to give your videos a professional look and feel.

A lot of people run into problems with the different video formats. For example, Windows Movie Maker won't take a video that is in a .MOV file format. Thus it needs to be converted to an .AVI or .WMV file. This easy to use FREE converter is just what you need to convert files to and from all different formats.

A couple tips when using this program:

1. make sure you click the box that says "convert from"

2. Before you start converting the video - click on settings, then settings again and change the location of the output file to your desktop. This will help you locate the converted file.
